Group commends IGP for restoring security

Global Peace Movement International, UK has commended the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Alkali Baba for taking proactive measures that have restored security stability in the country.

President General, Dr. Mike Uyi stated this yesterday in Lagos stressing that since IGP Alkali Baba assumed duty, the country have seen new strategies in tackling security situation.

Uyi said crime rate in the country has nosedived since the IGP deployed special operational teams around the country and have been working round the clock to ensure a safe Nigeria.

He further noted that Nigeria Police under the IGP BABA USMAN ALKALI has proved that Nigeria can be among committee of peaceful nations.

“We want to commend IGP Alkali Baba and his police management team for building a new security architecture in the country”.

‘Under his watch, over 1,200 high profile suspects have been arrested while hundreds of kidnapped victims have gained freedom from the intelligent rescue teams you set up.

‘Even armed robbers, bandits, kidnappers and other criminal elements posing threat to the security apparatus of the country can tell that his administration is on its toes towards their apprehension, as countless arms and ammunition have been recorded by officers and men.

‘IGP Alkali Baba has shown commitment to staff welfare through the barrack redevelopment scheme and the establishment of affordable housing for officers. Officers, both serving and retired, have also been captured along with their families for the National Health Insurance Scheme, while the Police Medical Services has improved its services with the construction of more police hospitals.
