Group commends FG on deadline extension for swapping of old Naira notes

An Non Governmental Organization, Society for Youth and the Downthroden, SOYD, has commended the decision of the Federal Government over the extension of deadline for the withdrawal/
Swap of the old Naira notes.

In a press release issued yesterday by it SOYD Media, it read, “as a family, we received the news of the extension of deadline for old naira note with gratitude and appreciation to His Excellency, President Mohamadu Buhari, GCFR for promptly responding to our call.”

The group noted that this singular action has shown that the President was “sensitive to the plight of every Nigerians and listen to them irrespective of their status and where they are living. It is also a clear demonstration that Muhammadu Buhari have never parted way with common man.

“It is worthy of note and commendations that the Government gave priority to our empirical reports ahead of all relevant institutions, including National Assembly and approved seven (7) days instead of fifteen (15) days that we requested.

“Whilst thanking the government We Nigerians to ensure they deposit their old naira notes in the bank within the period under extension to avoid inconveniences.”
