Grammy Awards is coming to Africa – Nigerian Govt

The Nigerian government has stated that talks are ongoing with the organizers of American Grammy Awards to establish an African version.

Hannatu Musawa, the Minister of Art, Culture and Creative Economy, made this known in a chat with Vanguard on Tuesday.

The minister explained that Nigeria, being the home of Afrobeats, must be counted as one of the founding members of African Grammys.

She disclosed that countries like Rwanda, South Africa and Kenya are championing the move to establish an African version of the Grammys.
