GPMI set for ‘Talk To Our People Back Home’ – Dr. Mike Uyi

The Global Peace Movement International said it is fully ready to embark on ‘Talk To Our People Back Home’  campaign to UK, America, Italy, Germany, France among others.

Dr. Mike Uyi, President General of the group said the aim of the tour is to sensitize Nigerians back home on the need to be stakeholders in matters of security and the need to cooperate with men and officers of the Nigerian Army.

According to Uyi in a statement on Saturday in London,  the tour to these different countriesby GPMI will engage Nigerians in these countries on the need for total support for the Nigerian Army”.

“The Army as an institution has sacrificed so much for Nigeria to remain peaceful and such much support must be given to them to succeed in their various operations in the country”

Uyi commended the Chief of Army Staff, Lt.Gen. Faruk Yahaya, for continuously brainstorming with the other security agencies on the way out of insurgency, kidnapping, banditary and other forms of crime in the country.

He said part of the major discussion is to encourage Nigerians home and abroad to have confidence in the ability of the Nigerian Army to defeat the enemies of the state responsible for insecurity in the country.

Uyi further stated that Nigeria will certainly have greater level of safety, urging Nigerians to have confidence in the ability of the Army and other security agencies to tackle the security challenges.
