Global Peace Movement International UK has applauded the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt.-Gen. Faruk Yahaya for his commitment to continue to engage the services of retired personnel in tackling insecurity in the country.
President General of the group, Dr. Mike Uyi in a statement on Thursday said the experiences of the retired officers will be rallying point to support the Nigerian army in their efforts to end all forms of criminality in Nigeria.
According to Uyi, it is the best practice all over developed countries as the ex-men are usually invited to salvage situations when security issues become threatening.
“In America and other developing countries of the world, the services of retired offices are always needed because of their experiences”.
