GPMI hails COAS Faruk Yahaya, Army over sacrifices in restoring peace

The Global Peace Movement International, UK  has applauded Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt. Gen. Faruk Yahaya, officers and men of the Nigerian Army for the fight against insurgency other insecurity and restoring peace in the states.

The group, consented that the troops have done extremely well in securing lives and properties all over the country.

In a statement signed by its President General, Dr. Mike Uyi on Saturday said prevailing level of insecurity has improved as virtually all the states are gradually becoming free from all manner of terrorists’ attacks.

Uyi expressed satisfaction with the “ visionary, purposeful, focused and result-oriented leadership of the Nigerian Army.

“With the level of victory recorded so far against all manner of insecurity, we are prodded to thank the leadership of the Nigerian Army, led by the resolute and unconquerable Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and emperor of the counter-insurgency operations, Lt. Gen. Faruk Yahaya for translucently administering the Army in a style that has flung its doors open for all stakeholders to be part of the transformation of our country in tandem with the vision of making Nigeria a great nation again”.

“GPMI and other patriotic Nigerians within and outside the country are impressed with your visionary, purposeful, focused and result-oriented leadership of the Nigerian Army which is flawlessly aligning with international best practices”.

Dr. Uyi also commended the Army for finding time to carry out Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR) at intervals, noting that the diversity of the country is safe in the hands of the COAS when it comes to social responsibilities.

“Lt.Gen Faruk Yahaya and the troops have proven that the service remains committed to defending the territorial integrity of Nigeria while providing security to ensure that citizens are able to carry on with their lives without fear of harm as expected in a democracy.

Global Peace Movement International further called on patriotic Nigerians to continue to support the COAS and the troops, just as it urged the army to intensify its onslaught on terrorists, bandits and kidnappers in the country.

“We wish to also announce that the Global Peace Movement International, UK will resume it’s campaign for the support of the Nigerian Army second week of January,2023”.
