Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has signed into law the bill establishing Gaya Polytechnic.
The development was announced on Friday in a statement by the Governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa.
The bill was presented to the Governor at the Government House by the Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Jibril Ismail Falgore, and the Deputy Speaker, Rt. Hon. Muhammad Bello Butubutu.
Governor Yusuf, who was joined by the Deputy Governor during the signing, said he was pleased with the smooth work of the Assembly.
He explained that the new polytechnic would open doors for young people to gain practical and technical skills needed to drive economic growth.
