Governor Yusuf Shuts Out 14 Journalists from Kano Government House

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has shut out 14 journalists from covering the Government House.

The development was communicated by Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the governor’s spokesman, through a message posted on the Government House press crew’s WhatsApp group.

Although no specific reason was provided for the withdrawal of their accreditation, Bature thanked the journalists for their service over the past year.

The affected journalists were directed to report back to their respective organizations for reassignment.

Those relieved of their duties are Aliyu Yusuf, Director of Public Enlightenment at the Government House, Sani Suraj Abubakar, Public Relations Officer, and Adamu Dabo, Chairman of the press crew and Pyramid Radio correspondent.

Others are Naziru Yau, ARTV; Sadiq Sani AA, ARTV cameraman; Rabiu Sunusi, Triumph; Umar Sheka, Freedom Radio; Jabir Dan’abba, Nasara Radio; Labara Sound, Simon AIT Cameraman; Nasiru Danhaki, NTA; Abdullahi Sule, Crew Driver; Murtala Baba Kusa, Express Radio and Ibrahim Muazzam, Radio Kano.
