Governor Sule regrets Nasarawa United’s relegation from NPFL

Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, has revealed that Nasarawa United were relegated from the Nigeria Premier Football League last season due to the team playing its home matches at a neutral venue.

The Lafia City Stadium is currently undergoing renovation.

Sule disclosed this during a courtesy visit to the Nigeria Football Federation House in Abuja.

He assured that the Solid Miners will secure promotion back to the Nigeria Premier Football League.

“The stadium is one of the reasons Nasarawa United got relegated last season when it was undergoing renovation,” he stated during his visit.

“I am on my feet to make sure the relegation does not proceed beyond one season.

“We don’t belong in the Nigeria National League, we belong up there in the Nigeria Premier Football League.”
