Governor Bagudu Approves over 2.9 Billion for the payment of 2021 Gratuity and death benefits

Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu of kebbi-state has approved the sum of Two Billion, Nine Hundred and Eighty one million, Eight Hundred and fifty six Thousand, four Hundred and sixty five Naira, forty Eight kobo for the payment of gratuity and death benefit for the year 2021.

Briefing news men in his office, The state head of service Alhaji sufiyanu Garba Bena said the payment is to cover for one thousand, one Hundred and seventy Two beneficiaries of state, local Government and local Education Authority (LGEA).

“It will be recalled that in line with the determined commitment of senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu to the welfare of kebbi-state workforce in retirement, an approval of cumulative amount of N30,280,792,650.04 comprising of N20,105,129,647.54 for the period of 2015 to 2018 and another amount of N10,175,663,002.50 representing the payment of balance of 2017, 2018 and full payment for 2019 to 2021 verified retiree’s totaling 3,724 was granted.

He reiterate that the payments are to ensure general welfare of retirees both in the local Government and state service’s in line with the administration’s welfare policy.

Bena call on the all retirees to make judicious use of their money by embarking on useful ventures such as farming,trading and commerce in order to cater for their families.

” On behalf of both serving and retired civil servants, I want to sincerely thank His Excellency the Governor of kebbi-state for his concern for civil servants as demonstrated by prompt payment of salaries, pension and gratuity. We shall forever remain grateful for this magnanimity” Bena said.
