Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State, his predecessor and former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Abdullahi Adamu, and the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Hon Emmanuel Ombugadu, have arrived at the Supreme Court to witness proceedings in the legal battle of the state governorship seat.
The politicians arrived the courtroom with a retinue of followers and sympathisers amid tight security by regular policemen and operatives of the Department of State Services, DSS.
Supreme Court panel headed by Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun is hearing the appeal lodged by the PDP and its governorship candidate against the decision of the Court of Appeal, which on November 23 restored Sule as the lawfully elected governor of the state.
Meanwhile, security operatives are battling to control the crowd of politicians that accompanied the governor and the governorship candidate to court.
