Gov Abdulrazaq decries spate of banditry, kidnapping 

Governor Abdulrahaman Abdulrazaq of Kwara State, on Wednesday, expressed concern over the spate of banditry, kidnapping and herders/farmers clash.

Speaking when the new commandant of the Kwara state Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Muhammed Tukur Ibrahim, paid him a courtesy visit at the Government House in Ilorin, the governor urged the new commandant to foster more collaboration to fight the undersigned issues.

He promised to honour the requests of the defence corps.

Governor Abdulrazaq, urged the commandant to keep the flag flying and justify the confidence of the people in the area of providing security for the state.

Commandant Tukur, had earlier appreciated the governor for his support towards the corps and his selfless service to the state of harmony.

He promised to collaborate with other security agencies in fighting the menace of banditry, terrorism, kidnapping and drug related crimes.

The commandant, also solicited for more support for the corps especially in the area of logistics and befitting permanent office for the corps.
