Gent forward Orban ready to play for Super Eagles

KAA Gent forward, Gift Orban is willing to represent Nigeria, according to his representatives.

Orban was not released by Belgian Pro League side, Gent for Nigeria’s 2023 Africa U-23 Cup of Nations qualifying fixtures against Guinea last month.

One of his representatives, Udia Attal has, however, stated that the young striker is happy and ready to play for his country.

“He (Orban) is very happy and proud to play for Nigeria should he be invited again,” Attal told SCORENigeria.

“Such a call-up can only be good for his career.”

The 20-year-old has been in scintillating form for Gent since arriving from Norwegian club, Stabaek in January.

Orban has scored 14 goals in 12 appearances across all competitions for Gent since his arrival at the club.
