Gary Neville reveals who to blame for Chelsea’s ‘nightmare’ season

Former Manchester United captain, Gary Neville has blamed Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly for the club’s “nightmare” season and warned him to “stop meddling”.

The Blues’ 3-1 defeat at Arsenal left them 12th in the Premier League table.

This season, Boehly has broken the club’s break transfer spending records and fired Thomas Tuchel and Graham Potter.

The American billionaire then brought in former midfielder Frank Lampard on a short-term deal until the end of the season.

Speaking on his Gary Neville Podcast, the Sky Sports pundit said: “It all comes from the top. It’s been chaotic, a mess since day one.

“Boehly has had a nightmare and misread this league. I’m sure he’ll learn quickly. What has happened this season is purely down to him.

“He needed to keep the footballing department together. He’s the non-footballing department. You’re the owner. You’re not a player or a coach.”
