Former Premier League stars Gary Neville and Micah Richards have pinpointed why Manchester City are dropping points this season.
Man City have failed to win any of their last three Premier League matches against Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.
The Citizens dropped two points each against the opponents after playing 4-4 against Chelsea, 1-1 against Liverpool, and 3-3 against Tottenham Hotspur.
However, both Neville and Richards think that Pep Guardiola’s side are dropping points because they are suffering from complacency, and there’s “something just not right” about them this season.
The comments came after Man City were held 3-3 by Tottenham at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.
Speaking after the game, Neville said (via Daily Mail): “What he won’t like Guardiola is decision, the complacency, defensive lapses and giving up points again to Tottenham.”
On his part, Richards said: “Something just not right, too easy to play against on counter, individual mistakes again, seeing out game at end is all about concentration. (They) have to concentrate in key moments and didn’t do that. Spurs fantastic and found a way. Just gaps in midfield, defence, organisation at this moment in time is nonexistent.”
