Chelsea midfielder, Conor Gallagher, has turned down the chance to join Everton after the Toffees submitted a £45 million offer to the Blues for his signature this January transfer window.
Chelsea are open to selling a midfielder before the January transfer window ends on Tuesday night, providing they secure a deal with Benfica for Argentina midfielder Enzo Fernandez.
Everton, meanwhile, are looking to strengthen their squad after confirming the appointment of Sean Dyche as their new head coach on Monday afternoon.
According to MailOnline, Dyche’s side have tabled a bid of £40 million, plus a further £5 million in add-ons, in a bid to sign Gallagher before Tuesday’s transfer deadline.
However, the report added that Gallagher would turn down a move to Everton as he is holding out for a club who are in the top six in the Premier League.
