The Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards has unveiled the nominees for its 12th edition, ahead of the main ceremony scheduled for May 9, 2026
Earlier, organisers announced the appointment of veteran actress Joke Silva as Head Judge, taking over from Femi Odugbemi.
This year’s edition features a total of 32 categories, comprising 18 jury-decided awards, 11 audience-voted categories, and three special honours, including the Lifetime Achievement and Trailblazer awards.
In a move to strengthen pan-African representation, the organisers also introduced two new categories: Best Indigenous Language Film (North Africa) and Best Indigenous Language Film (Central Africa).
