The birthday of a renowned Philanthropist from Ogori-Magongo Local Government Area of Kogi State Hon.Meka Soje Adeshina was on Tuesday celebrated by notable Journalists in Lokoja, the State capital.
The Kogi State Vice Chairman, Nigeria Union Journalist, (NUJ) Ibrahim Obansa in his speech showered encomium on the celebrant for his kind gesture in touching lives in the society.
He described Hon. Adeshina as a peaceful Man who is determined to impact positively on the society.
His words “Hon. Adeshina is a grassroot individual who is known for his selfless service to the people. If we could have many of the celebrant in Kogi State, things will be better for all of us. Hon. Adeshina is a Man with principle. Am urging Nigerians to emulate the good virtue of giving back to the society no matter how small it is. With this, we will be having a better society that is acceptable in Kogi State”.
The Head of Department Education in Adavi Local Government Ajagun also praised the celebrant for his contributions to humanity.
According to him, Hon. Adeshina is a very young Man with good heart. He has been a Philanthropist long before now and has impacted tremendously in the lives of the people positively by meeting a lot of challenges that people faced.
” Of particular interest is the fact that he gives alot especially in time of celebration such as Christmas and Salah where the less privilege are given food stuffs to celebrate the auspicious occasion. He also gives money to this people. This is what he stands for and that is what he does.
” Recently, he came home, because of his closeness with the Executive Governor of Kogi State Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo. The celebrant has mobilized enough support for the present administration. Today we see Hon. Adeshina in Ogori Magongo Local Government as our leader. A young dynamic vibrant individual who has been able to take everybody along”.
Ajagun, however, debunked the insinuation that the philanthropic gesture of the celebrant has political undertone.
Explaining further, he said “This is surprise. When the Governor visited Ogori Magongo during Ovia festival, the Governor saw him that this Man does not need anything but belongs to his people. He is not vying for any political positions.
“His concern is for the people. The celebrant wants his people to be comfortable and enjoy the dividend of democracy by so doing key into the development agenda of the present administration in Nigeria.

Engr. Oladipupo Bayode, also eulogize the good work of the celebrant across the globe.
He admonished well to do individuals to emulate the good virtues of Hon. Adeshina adding , giving back to the society will go a long way in ensuring peace and stability.
“They should take a clue from his benevolence. He is a Man who is comfortable and does not allow that Comfort to overwhelm him. We are imploring people of similar status to look inward by giving back to the society”he added.
