…Hails massive turnout of women during the election.
The Forum of Heads of Department (HOD), of Education in Kogi State, has congratulated the Governor-elec Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman over his victory in the Saturday November 11 governorship election in the state.
In a statement by the chairperson of the group, Sefiya Orahanoh Abubakar, said the APC, the candidate and the incumbent governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello worked very hard to deserve a landslide victory.
The group also commended the efforts of the permanent Secretary of Local Government and chieftaincy Affairs, Hajia Habiba Oyiza Tijani for mobilizing the wemen group which resulted in the massive votes delivered by wemen in the governorship election.
“The untiring efforts of the governor and other stakeholders did not go in vain, as there was massive turnout of women that gave our candidate, Usman Ododo the desired victory.
I want to call on Kogi people and even those who lost out to join hands with the governor-elec for the over all progress and development of the state.
