Former American football star, Alex Collins is dead

Collins died following a motorcycle accident he was involved in on Sunday, August 13, in Florida.

Confirming the incident, Broward County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Homicide Unit stated that Collins was riding a 2004 Suzuki GSX-600K in Lauderdale Lakes when the accident occurred.

“Information gathered indicates that a woman driving a Chevrolet Suburban made a turn, crossing over the lane Collins was traveling in, causing him to strike the rear passenger side of the SUV.

“Alex was pronounced dead on the scene.
by the emergency responders that rushed to the location. The woman is cooperating with authorities who are still investigating the crash,” it said.

Reacting to the unfortunate incident, NFL authorities in a tweet on Monday wrote: “The NFL family mourns the loss of Alex Collins and we extend our deepest condolences to his family, teammates and loved ones.”

Collins started his career in college football from 2013 to 2015, with the Arkansas Razorbacks, going on to play in the NFL with two stints at Seattle either side of a season and a half at Baltimore.
