Former Benue state Governor and FCT Minister Nyesom Wike’s ally Samuel Ortom asked to leave PDP headquarters after takeover by a faction loyal to Governors Seyi Makinde and Bala Mohammed

Former Benue State governor Samuel Ortom, a close ally of FCT minister Nyesom Wike, was forced to leave the PDP national headquarters after a faction loyal to Governors Seyi Makinde and Bala Mohammed asserted control of the premises on Tuesday, November 18.

Witnesses said tension rose quickly when some party members began shouting at Ortom, telling him he had no place in the building: “Let him out! Who is he? This is not your PDP!”

Party officials eventually escorted him outside. The incident occurred shortly before Governors Makinde and Bala Mohammed stepped forward to address the press, signaling a deepening internal power struggle within the party as different blocs attempt to assert authority.##
