Follow Ronaldo’s footsteps – Saudi Arabia FA woos Messi

Saudi Arabia FA president Yasser Al-Misehal has confirmed they are interested in bringing Lionel Messi to the Pro League this summer.

Messi has been heavily linked with Al-Hilal, who are ready to pay him an eye watering €220 million per year.

The offer was first tabled in March and has since almost tripled to a staggering €600 million.

Although Al-Misehal refused to substantiate those figures, he did admit that having two of the game’s greatest ever players would complete the league’s giant leap in its football development.

“I have no news, to be honest. There’s no doubt that, personally, I would like to see Messi in the Saudi Arabian League. It would complete the great leap that was made by Cristiano,” Al-Misehal told SSC News.
