Five days of classroom teaching in Bangladesh: Education Minister

By Mahbub Hasan Tutul, Bangladesh Dhaka:

The Education Minister of Bangladesh said, as before, there will be 5 days of teaching in the class room in the week. There will be a holiday on Friday and Saturday in the week. This will not cause any problem to the students.

He said, the new curriculum will be taught in the classroom five days a week, said the Minister of Education of Bangladesh. Deepu Moni.

The Minister of Education said these things in response to a question from journalists at the Circuit House in Chandpur district of Bangladesh on Thursday morning.

The education minister said, how long the educational institutions will be closed is a matter of policy decision. Our new curriculum will have five days of classroom teaching.

Dr. Dipu Moni said that this new education program has been approved by the Prime Minister. Until last year, the curriculum had six days of classes. Due to power shortage, the educational program will be five days in the new year.

The education minister also said that no teacher was appointed in the technical department for the previous 10 years. All the teachers have been appointed in the last four years. There are always some teachers retiring, so some positions become vacant, and we fill them with that demand. This recruitment process is not very easy. At the moment we have no shortage of teachers. If there is a void somewhere, it is being filled.

At this time, Deputy Commissioner Kamrul Hasan, Superintendent of Police Md. Milan Mahmud, District Awami League Organizing Secretary Tafazzal Hossain Sdu Patwari along with government officials and political leaders were present.
