Manchester United and Newcastle United have reportedly emerged as the favourites clubs to sign Sadio Mane from Bayern Munich, Sky Sports Germany reports.
Man United and Newcastle are likely to be able to afford Mane’s £17.4 million salary.
Bayern Munich is keen to offload Mane this summer following a miserable debut season and a troubled campaign, where he has only scored 12 goals.
The Senegalese international only joined Bayern Munich last summer in a £27.4 million deal from Liverpool.
The 31-year-old had been viewed as a marquee summer signing by the Bundesliga champions, having starred in the Premier League for Liverpool.
