The governorship candidate of the Labour Party, LP, in the recently concluded Osun State gubernatorial election, Lasun Suleiman Yusuf, has dumped the presidential candidate of the LP, Peter Obi.
Yusuf who was received into the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) during a presidential rally in Osun on Wednesday, has declared his support for Atiku Abubakar.
Governor Ademola Adeleke made the announcement of Lasun’s defection to the PDP while speaking at the campaign rally in Osogbo, the state capital.
The campaign rally was attended by PDP bigwigs including the presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, his running mate, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State, the party’s national chairman, Dr Iyorchia Ayu, and the PDP Presidential Campaign Council chairman, Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State.
