Ex-Jigawa Governor Sule Lamido Slams President Tinubu’s Vacation Abroad

Former Jigawa State Governor, Alhaji Sule Lamido, has faulted President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s decision to embark on a two-week foreign vacation amidst Nigeria’s economic and security challenges.

The former governor made the criticism in a statement titled “DEAF, DUMB, CONFOUNDED” on his Facebook page.

Lamido alleged that President Tinubu has deliberately inflicted hardship on Nigerians. “Does President Tinubu have the human empathy, compassion, love, care, and concern to ponder and reflect on Nigerians’ dire situations while in the comfort of Europe?” Lamido asked.

The former governor drew parallel with the biblical story of Pharaoh and Moses, implying that Tinubu’s actions are reminiscent of Pharaoh’s disregard for his people’s suffering.

Recall that the special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, on Wednesday defended the president’s vacation as a working retreat to reflect on his administration’s economic reforms.

According to Onanuga, President Tinubu will return to Nigeria after his two-week leave.
