Ex-Chelsea star to join Lampard at Stamford Bridge

Former Chelsea defender, Ashley Cole will join Frank Lampard’s coaching staff at Stamford Bridge.

This was disclosed by transfer expert, David Ornstein, in a tweet via his Twitter handle on Wednesday night.

According to Ornstein, Cole will join Lampard at the west London club as an assistant coach.

Chelsea have reached an agreement to appoint Lampard as interim head coach for the rest of the season after sacking Graham Potter last Sunday.

“Chelsea have reached agreement in principle to install Frank Lampard as interim head coach until end of season,” Ornstein tweeted.

“44yo #CFC legend to be joined by assistants Ashley Cole, Joe Edwards, Chris Jones. Process for permanent appointment continues.”
