Enyimba, Remo Stars, Rivers United start continental action August

Nigerian champions Enyimba will begin their campaign in the CAF Champions League in August.

Remo Stars, who will be competing in the competition for the first time, will also be in action that month.

Dethroned Nigeria Premier League champions, Rivers United will take part in the CAF Confederation Cup and will also play their first game in August.

Rivers United will be joined in the competition by the winner of the Federation Cup final clash between Rangers and Bendel Insurance.

CAF confirmed on Wednesday that the first leg of the preliminary round fixture of both competitions will be staged between August 18th and 20th.

The second leg is fixed for between August 25th and 27th.

The winners over the two legs will qualify for the first round.
