Engage me with constructive criticism – Gov Nwifuru tells residents

Ebonyi State Governor, Francis Nwifuru on Saturday vowed to ensure that there is peace, unity and progress in all the 171 communities in the state as a way to avert wars in the state.

Nwifuru made this known during a media chat and account of stewardship by Ebonyi State executive council members to mark the 63rd anniversary of Nigeria and Ebonyi State @27, which took place at the old governors lodge in Abakaliki.

He tasked critics to engage his administration with constructive criticism, and vowed to ensure that the people’s charter of needs is totally met.

He said, “You made it possible through your unanimous vote for us, believing in our agenda, our mantra – The People’s Charter of Needs, meant to consolidate on the beautiful achievements of the previous administration.

“We have since then started work. We are 152 days in office as the drivers of policies that suit your needs and strategists for implementing the same. We began by calling on the services of a mix of trusted professionals and bureaucrats from among us, to serve you in various capacities.

“We have engaged in a blend of actions to serve the current needs of Ebonyi people while setting foundations for the future. As a Government, we understand that our eyes must be beamed in securing the future of our children, as well as satisfying your immediate needs.

“It is our collective responsibility to ensure that together, we deliver good dividends of democracy to our people and take Ebonyi to the success stage. I call on all of you, to feel free and engage us constructively, knowing fully well that we are here to serve you. “Our goal is to bequeath peace and success to Ebonyi citizens” he stated.
