Amid the controversy that trailed the Kano Emirate tussle, the 15th Emir of Kano, Aminu Ado Bayero has directed his district heads on Sallah Durbar celebration in the state.
A circular by Bayero’s senior counselor and Galadiman Kano, Abbas Sanusi directed the District Heads to stormed the ancient city to join the 15th Emir for the celebration.
“We are directing all the district heads of the emirate to come along with their village heads, horse riders, and praise singers for the festivities.
“You are directed to come to the Gidan Nassarawa palace of Aminu Ado Bayero on Saturday by 11am. Afterwards, there will be meeting with the district heads for discussion on the preparation for the Sallah Durbar celebration,” the circular stated.
Recall that the Kano State government had repealed the Kano Emirate law and reinstated the Muhammad Sanusi II as the 16th Emir of Kano.
Recall also that Sanusi II has taken over the main palace at the Kano Emirate while the 15th Emir, Bayero occupies the Gidan Nassarawa Emir’s guest house.
