Emir of Ilorin applauds newly promoted Police officers

The Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, has described the newly promoted officers of the Nigeria Police Force, who are of Kwara origin as worthy ambassadors of the Ilorin emirate and the State at large.

Sulu-Gambari, in a congratulatory message issued by his Spokesman, Mallam Abdulazeez Arowona, expressed joy over the elevation of some officers from Kwara.

The newly promoted officers include Babatunde Ishola Babaita and Yekini Adio Ayoku, to the rank of Assistant Inspector General (AIG) of Police.

Also, Salman Dogo Garba and Adegbola Aina were promoted to the rank of Commissioner of Police (CP).

“Your excellent performances, commitment and dedication to duty in the areas of national security has further led to your upliftment among many others.

“I implore you to further rededicate yourself to the protection of lives and properties in the nation,” the first class traditional ruler said.

Sulu-Gambari, also the Chairman Kwara Council of Chiefs, (Mai-Martaba), urged the newly promoted officers to always provide valuable inputs that would be of veritable policy frameworks for the actualisation of peaceful coexistence in Nigeria.

He prayed for God’s guidance and protection for the promoted senior officers across the country “in order to continue to soar higher in their meritorious service to the nation”.
