Ekiti govt begins identification of ‘project affected persons’

Enumeration of owners of farmlands and other physical structures that would be affected by the proposed construction of 12 roads across Ekiti State under the Rural Access and Agricultural
Marketing Project (RAAMP) has commenced.

According to a statement signed by the State Project Coordinator, Hon. Sunday Adunmo, the exercise would be carried out from Thursday, 16th November through Tuesday, 21st November, 2023.

Adunmo stated that the cooperation of the Project Affected Persons and other stakeholders would ease proper identification of assets that would be affected by the proposed construction – particularly cash crops and physical structures.

“I have the pleasure to inform you that the construction of rural roads in your community under the Ekiti State Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP) will commence soon. As part of the project implementation process, I write to inform you that our RAAMP team members will be visiting your community between Thursday 16th November 2023 to Tuesday 21st November 2023.
“The primary purpose of the visit is to identify individuals who are affected by the construction, particularly in the areas of cash crops and physical structures.

“In light of this, we kindly request the presence of the prospective Project Affected Persons (PAPs) whose farms are along the affected road corridors during our visitation period. This collaborative effort will ensure a smoother identification process and contribute to the successful execution of the project,” he said.
