Eid: Rivers CP orders massive deployment of personnel 

The Rivers State Commissioner of Police CP, Friday Eboka has ordered a massive deployment of personnel across the state to provide adequate security before, during and after the 2022 Eid-el-Kabir Sallah celebration.

The move is to ensure the protection of all residents in the state and the success of all activities lined up to mark the celebration.

The CP in a statement by the command’s Public Relations
officer, Grace Iringe Koko identified areas to be covered to include “worship centers, celebration venues and other recreational centers”.

He also directed all area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers and Tactical Team Commanders to ensure that “mischief makers are stopped from causing any form of mayhem” for law-abiding citizens.

The CP further disclosed that about 3530 personnel have been deployed to ensure a “hitch-free festival”, and equally urged members of the public to be “law-abiding” and continue to support the police in the fight against crime and criminalities.

The statement urged members of the public to report and furnish the police with useful information or report any suspicious person/ movement to the command.

The commissioner equally wished the people of Rivers State a hitch-free Eid-el-Kabir Sallah celebration.
