Eid-el-Kabir: Imbibe spirit of sacrifice, forgiveness, benevolence – Gov Buni to Muslims 

Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni has admonished Nigerians to imbibe the spirit of sacrifice, forgiveness, submission as well as benevolence to accommodate one another and promote peace for the growth and development of the state and country.

Buni via his Spokesperson, Mamman Mohammed gave the charge in a statement while congratulating Muslim faithful on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir Sallah festival.

He also urged the faithful to observe the virtues of peace, love, accommodation and tolerance as preached by Islam.

“Let us continue to pray for peace and prosperity of the state and country. As we approach the general elections, we should also pray for peaceful electioneering”, he urged.

The Governor, however, admonished the people to engage in agriculture as the season commences for economic recovery, food sufficiency and security, while also congratulating Pilgrims from the state for the successful Hajj exercise.

“I rejoice with our Pilgrims in Saudi Arabia for the opportunity to perform the Hajj exercise this year, you should pray for peace to reign in the state and country.

“I wish everyone a rewarding, peaceful and memorable Sallah festival”, the Governor said.

He further assured that his administration will continue to execute people-oriented projects to improve the lives of the people.
