“This blessed occasion reminds us of the values of sacrifice, endurance, and devotion to Allah.

“The overarching objective of my administration’s 12-point agenda is the transformation of our dear state into a modern, self-sufficient and economically developed haven where all residents will live in peace and prosperity.

“In the past 12 months of our running the affairs of the state, we have shown our administration’a commitment to economic empowerment, youth employment, agricultural transformation, revitalization of education, infrastructure development, among other areas.

“Despite the challenges posed by the prevailing economic situation in the country, I remain optimistic about our future.

“We are working tirelessly to enhance the economic status of our people thereby reducing the level of poverty among our citizens.

“Given this, we have determined that we will decrease the poverty rate in the state by 10% annually.
