Eid-el-Fitr: 20-year-old man stabs Emir Sanusi’s guard to death

A 20-year-old man on Sunday, March 30, stabbed the guard of Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II to death on the Eid prayer ground.

The Nigeria Police said the deceased who who protecting the Emir was attacked by the man during prayers.

According to the police, one of the security personnel present at the scene of the incident was also injured.

The officer is currently receiving medical attention at the Murtala Muhammad Hospital in Kano city.

Abdullahi Kiyawa, the Kano State Police Command spokesperson in a statement said one of the officials of the Emir’s palace ‘Shamakin Kano’ Wada Isyaku has been invited for questioning.

Kiyawa said, “The police have commenced an investigation into the incident and have invited the Kano Emirate’s Shamakin Kano, Alhaji Wada Isyaku, for questioning.”
