EFCC auctions 160 confiscated houses, lands worth billions of Naira

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has commenced the sale of 160 confiscated houses and lands worth billions of naira in Abuja, Lagos and 14 other States.

The commission set January 9, 2023, as the timeline for bids by prospective buyers.

Earlier, the EFCC auctioned 649 vehicles in Abuja and Lagos.

Newsmen gathered that the proposed auction houses and properties belonging to politicians and government workers were corruptly acquired while in office.

Some of the properties up for auction belong to the former Minister of Petroleum, Diezani Alison-Madueke and those procured by a former head of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Ayodele Oke.
