Edo Guber Poll Gets ‘Hotter’ As Police Arrest Political Thugs Again

The off-cycle governorship election in Edo State is getting hotter as the police have again arrested some political thugs, and party loyalists for vote buying.

This was disclosed in a terse post by the Nigeria Police Force Spokesman, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi on his X handle.

According to ACP Adejobi, police operatives recovered cash and other incriminating items from the suspects.

“Again, Police Arrest political thugs, party Loyalists for vote buying, recovers Cash and other incriminating items. Details soon,” he wrote.

This comes hours after the force image maker said two political thugs were arrested in the state ahead of the election.

He said the duo was arrested in an overnight raid.

He gave the names of the two as Edwin Obanor, 43-year-old and Audu Tajudeen, a 41-year-old PDP member from Ugbogbo quarters, Igara Akoko, Edo.
