Edo Assembly Approves Appointment of 20 Special Advisers for Governor Okpebholo

The Edo State House of Assembly has approved the appointment of 20 Special Advisers to Governor Monday Okpebholo. The assembly also gave approval to the nomination of Emmanuel Okoebor as the Commissioner for Finance.

The request for the appointments was made by Governor Okpebholo through the Secretary to the State Government, Musa Umar Ikhilor, in a letter to the Speaker of the House.

The governor emphasized that these appointments would facilitate the smooth operation of his administration.

This development comes on the heels of the assembly’s earlier confirmation of Samson Osagie and Dr. Cyril Oshiomhole as commissioners in the state. Dr. Osagie will serve as Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General, while Dr. Oshiomhole will oversee the Health ministry.

The approval of these appointments marks a key milestone in Governor Okpebholo’s administration.

The newly elected governor was sworn in alongside his deputy, Dennis Idahosa, last week.
