Edo 2024: Leave Wike out of PDP crisis – Party chieftain, Onaiwu

Mr Earl Osaro Onaiwu, the pioneer Director-General of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Governor’s Forum, has urged the party’s supporters in Edo to dismiss reports that the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike sponsored Dep. Gov. Phillip Shuaibu’s declaration for the 2024 guber race.

Onaiwu’s advice is contained in a statement he issued on Tuesday.

He said, “People are just using Wike’s name to score cheap political points”, adding that “Wike has moved on and should be allowed to face his duties as FCT Minister.”

He urged PDP members in Edo to focus on establishing a strong and united party.

“We need to focus on building a strong and united PDP in Edo.

“We should not allow ourselves to be distracted by insinuations and hearsay.

“Let us work together toward the common goal of winning the 2024 governorship election in the state,” Onaiwu said.
