The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ebiya District of Ajaokuta Local Government Area of Kogi State has reaffirmed its support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, former governor Yahaya Bello and the member representing Ajaokuta Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Sanni Egidi Abdulraheem.
The declaration was made on Saturday at the APC district rally led by the state Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, Hon. Abanika Taiye, which attracted party leaders, stakeholders, women and youth groups and supporters from across the district.
Addressing the gathering, Abanika highlighted development projects and interventions attracted to the Ajaokuta Federal Constituency, including rural electrification, solar-powered streetlights, boreholes, educational support, healthcare interventions, agricultural programmes and youth and women empowerment initiatives.
He commended Governor Ododo for what he described as his administration’s efforts to accelerate infrastructure development across the state, particularly in road construction, healthcare, agriculture and youth empowerment.
The commissioner also commended the state APC chairman and other party leaders and stakeholders for their contributions to strengthening the party at the grassroots.
Abanika urged APC members to remain united and committed to peaceful political engagement and sustained grassroots mobilisation, while calling for continued support for Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and the Ododo administration.
He also urged party supporters to back the political aspiration of former Governor Bello for the Kogi Central Senatorial District.
At the rally, the gathering endorsed Abdulraheem for the House of Representatives, Hon. Aliyu Mustapha Akaba for the Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Moses Sanni Aguva for Ajaokuta North and Hon. Haruna Muhammed for chairman of Ajaokuta Local Government Area.
The rally featured solidarity songs and messages from party leaders, women and youth groups, with participants pledging to sustain mobilisation across the district ahead of the forthcoming elections.
Abanika said the APC’s continued unity and grassroots mobilisation would help sustain what he described as the party’s winning tradition in Ajaokuta and Kogi State.
