Disregard video on threat to attack churches – Police to Zamara residents

The Zamfara State Police Command has enjoined the public to disregard attempts by some mischievous persons to mislead unsuspecting members of the public and cause disharmony through the recirculation of an old video, recorded on 8th November 2021.

In a press statement signed by the state police spokesman, SP Mohammed Shehu, the Command stated that the referenced video was culled from a confidence-building press briefing by the State Commissioner of Police to calm the tension of a letter by criminal elements to attack churches in the state.

The Command, while reassuring the public of its commitment to the protection of lives and property in the state, urged the public and the media to disregard the video, as it is the handiwork of mischief-makers.

According to the statement, the police are working hard to restore peace and harmony to the state.
