DG Govt House Admonishes The Ebira Nation At Sallah

…Performs obligation as a Muslim, holds meeting with different groups

The Director General, Government House Administration, Lokoja, Alhaji Dr. Umaru Oricha Shuaibu joined Muslim faithful all over the world to observe the Eid-el-Kabir prayers to commemorate this years Eid prayers at the Eid Prayer Ground at Agassa.

According to Balogun Omeiza David (BOD), Alhaji Shaibu while
speaking after he was granted audience by the Chief Imam to speak to the large audience of worshippers after the prayers, Alhaji Dr. Umaru Oricha Shuaibu gave thanks to Almighty Allah (SWT) for making him and all those who gathered in worship to pray and celebrate the jocund festival that Eid-el-Kabir is, around the globe.

He furthered thanked Almighty Allah (SWT) for replacing with a ram the sacrifice of worship that would have consumed the first son of all families.

He furthered added that, “It is high time the Egbira nation embraced peace and love like never before, saying that Almighty Allah will write it a sin against anyone who continues to harbour evil thoughts towards his fellow man or woman making progress as a result of Almighty Allah’s divine favour destined for such a fellow.

“We cannot all become great at once, that is why Almighty Allah (SWT) designs it that we should take one step at a time. We cannot continue to wallow in sinful acts like backbiting saying nasty words, wishing others bad and still expect God’s grace to abound in our domain as people from Kogi Central.” He said.

Alh. Dr. Umaru Oricha Shuaibu who prayed fervently for the former Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency, Alh. (Dr.) Yahaya Bello (CON) said his hard-work for the eight years he served as the executive governor of the state is what has dotted the entire parts of Kogi State.

He also prayed for the incumbent Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, a purpose driven Governor he said will surely excel exceedingly with the way he has taken up governance speedily and progressively in Kogi State.

He praised the two Governors for allowing the security of lives and property to take its proper place especially in Kogi Central as against what used to obtain before where people cannot travel home to celebrate festivals or go about different occasions as result of the high rate of insecurity that was prevalent then.

In his words, “Our political leaders have proven right the proverb which says, “the convenience of the tree is also that of the bird.” Alh. Umar Oricha Shuaibu opined that it is because of the relative peace that we now have that has made hotels filled to capacity by those who have journeyed home from far and near to celebrate with their family members.

The well groomed administrator admonished the Egbira nation that it should be well registered on their minds that it is simply time and chance that happens to us all as humans.

He explained further that Almighty Allah has destined position and power to be transient and that is why nobody or trend can go on forever, he therefore counselled that each and everyone should rather rejoice with those in position of power instead of trying to bag a certificate in what he referred to as the devilish “Pull Him Down (Ph.D) syndrome” that will make such haters to meet their waterloo. He reiterated that whatever you wish or do to a fellow human being like you is what will surely boomerang at the end of the day.

Alh. Dr. Umaru Oricha Shuaibu later slaughtered his Eid-el-Kabir rams and shared a chunky part of it within his neighbourhood to fulfill his obligation as spelt out in the Holy Quran as regarding the celebration of Eid-el-Kabir.

As characteristics of the Director General, Government House Administration, he took his time to sit with stakeholders, religious leaders and members of various associations who paid him visit in his home at Agassa.

He celebrated with them, deliberated on some pressing issues and also put smile on the faces of many that rallied round him to celebrate the season of Eid-el-Kabir which simply revolves around the sacrifice of giving.
