Democracy Day: Vote out selfish leaders in 2023 

The Speaker, Kaduna State House of Assembly, Rt. Honourable Yusuf Ibrahim Zailani,

on Monday, saluted Nigerians on the occasion of Democracy Day.

He urged Nigerians to present themselves for the on going update on voters’ registration with a view to exercise their fundamental human rights in 2023 general election

Honourable Yusuf Ibrahim Zailani, who is also the Chairman of the Northern Speakers Forum, in a statement by his SA Media and Publicity, Ibrahim Dahiru Danfulani, said the nation is once again, celebrating this year’s edition of Democracy Day, set aside to rejoice the governance through participation of all citizens who contributed in electing leaders through the ballot.

According to him, Nigerians are lucky people, that in spite of several daunting challenges facing the country, they have been resilient, just as the democracy has been preserved

Zailani said that he was optimistic that the more years the democratic rule continues, it is more deeply rooted and more citizens benefit from its dividends.

He said the year 2023, is around the corner, adding that we all have a role to play in ensuring only credible leaders that would further entrench democracy are voted on the ballot.
