Defender Trusty leaves Arsenal for new club

Arsenal confirmed on Thursday that defender Auston Trusty has left the club to join Sheffield United on a permanent deal.

Mikel Arteta’s side disclosed this in a statement via its website.

“We thank Auston and wish him the best of luck for his future and new chapter,” Arsenal’s statement reads in part.

Trusty, 24, joined Arsenal from MLS side Colorado Rapids in January 2022.

His performances last season earned him his first USA international cap.

He made his debut in a 7-1 win against Grenada in March 2023.
