De Bruyne singles out three Arsenal players after Community Shield defeat

Manchester City playmaker, Kevin De Bruyne, has hailed three Arsenal signings after their Community Shield defeat on Sunday.

De Bruyne singled out Declan Rice, Kai Havertz and Jurrien Timber for praise after the Wembley game.

Gunners boss, Mikel Arteta, started all three players against City but they needed penalties to beat City.

The game ended 1-1 after over 100 minutes and was decided via spot kicks.

De Bruyne and Rodri missed for City before Fabio Vieira secured the win for Arsenal.

After the game, De Bruyne spoke about the new additions to their Premier League title rivals.

“I think they are good players,” De Bruyne admitted when discussing Rice, Havertz and Timber’s influence.

“They look at what they need and they have bought them.

“I think they started all three, so that means they are big signings for them. Everybody is looking at their own team and every team has so much money, so everybody is always spending in this league and we know that. It gets tougher every year. One way or another, we try to maintain where we are.”
