Dangote releases evidence of N7bn expensive schools attended by NMDPRA boss Farouk Ahmed’s children

The President of Dangote group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, has released fresh details regarding the alleged foreign education expenses of the Chief Executive of the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA), Farouk Ahmed’s children.

The richest black man in a message he personally signed made damning allegations against the NMDPRS boss.

See the breakdown of the allegations below:

Children’s Names and Alleged Secondary Schools in Switzerland (each for approximately 6 years):

  • Faisal Farouk: Montreux School
  • Farouk Jr.: Aiglon College
  • Ashraf Farouk: Institut Le Rosey
  • Farhana Farouk: La Garenne International School Alleged Costs Released:
  • Total for secondary education (tuition, upkeep, air tickets, etc.): Over $5 million for four children.
  • Additional tertiary education: Approximately $2 million for four children’s university fees (over 4 years).
  • Specific for 2025: $210,000 spent on Faisal’s Harvard MBA ($150,000 tuition + $60,000 for upkeep, tickets, and incidentals).

Recall that Dangote, during a press briefing at the Dangote Petroleum Refinery in Lekki, Lagos, had called for a full investigation and public explanation.

The businessman said Ahmed must appear before the Code of Conduct Tribunal to explain to Nigerians how he allegedly raised $5m for his children’s school fees, accusing him of economic sabotage.

The latest move by Dangote is part of the effort to sustain his refinery from oil cartels, who have been at his neck since the company began operations. The richest black man has been publicly assertive in 2025 as he battles to save his refinery from being run down by oil cabals.
