The Citizens Watch Advocacy Initiative (CWAI) has congratulated the Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Prof. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, on his birthday, describing his tenure as one marked by reforms and efforts to strengthen the Corps.
In a goodwill message, CWAI Executive Secretary, Omoba Kenneth Aigbegbele, joined Audi’s family, associates, officers and personnel of the NSCDC, as well as other well-wishers, in celebrating the security chief.
Aigbegbele described Audi as an accomplished scholar and security administrator whose leadership has focused on professionalism, operational effectiveness and institutional development.
He said the NSCDC, under Audi’s leadership, had pursued reforms aimed at improving operational capacity, personnel welfare, inter-agency cooperation and the protection of critical national assets and infrastructure.
According to him, Audi’s leadership qualities, including discipline, commitment and dedication to national service, have contributed to efforts to reposition the Corps to discharge its statutory responsibilities more effectively.
Aigbegbele also congratulated the Commandant General on the extension of his tenure by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, describing the development as an opportunity for him to consolidate ongoing reforms within the NSCDC.
“As you celebrate your birthday, we pray that Almighty God grants you good health, long life, peace, wisdom and prosperity as you continue your service to the Corps and our fatherland,” he said.
Aigbegbele, who is also President of the Guild of Civil Societies and Media Executives for Equity, Justice and Transparency in Nigeria (GOCMEJ), wished Audi a happy birthday and continued success in public service.
