The Nigerian Institution of Metallurgical Mining and Materials Engineers (NIMMME), a division of Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) has inaugurated the Vice Chancellor of Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH), Osara, Engr. Prof. Abdulrahaman Asipita Salawu, MNSE FNIMMME as the 12th Chairman of the institute.
According to Balogun Omeiza David, Head, Public Relations Unit, CUSTECH, Osara,, said the colourful and well attended event with the theme “EMERGING MATERIALS: IMPERATIVE FOR NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT” took place at the National Engineering Centre Auditorium, NSE National Headquarters, CBD in Abuja.
The inauguration ceremony held under the Distinguished Chairmanship of Engr. Margaret Aina Oguntala, FNSE President, NSE. Engr. Obadiah Simon Ikom, FNSE, FIMGS, FINMMME served as the Keynote Speaker while Engr. Prof. M.H. Muhammad, FNSE, a former Vice Chancellor, Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), Bauchi addressed the gathering as Guest Speaker.
The Management Staff of CUSTECH, Osara gladly celebrated with Engr. Prof. Abdulrahaman Asipita Salawu on his new assignment to preside over the affairs of NIMMME together with his Executive Committee Members with a goodwill message which reads:
