Crystal Palace have sacked Patrick Vieira as their manager after only 20 months.
The former France midfielder leaves Selhurst Park with the Eagles sitting 12th in the Premier League table, only three points above the relegation zone.
The club is yet to announce who will take charge of their league fixture against Arsenal on Sunday.
Ex-Leeds boss Jesse Marsch and former Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl are the early frontrunners for the job.
Palace chairman Steve Parish admitted, “It is with enormous regret that this difficult decision has been made.”
Vieira replaced former England manager Roy Hodgson in July 2021.
In his first season, he guided the team to a 12th-placed finish in the Premier League and the FA Cup semi-final, which they lost to Chelsea.
